Privacy Policy - Stream AI

This Privacy Policy explains how Stream AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Stream AI Workout Assistant ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: your email address, username/display name, and authentication identifiers. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (name, email) from Google; we never receive your Google password.
Profile & fitness information: the details you provide such as weight, height, age, gender, skill level, training style, goals, where you work out, available equipment, and any health concerns or previous injuries you choose to enter.
Workout & usage data: exercises performed, reps, weights, estimated 1RM, rep timing, form-quality scores, body-weight log entries, session history, and similar activity data you generate.
Camera-derived data: see Section 2 below.
Technical & analytics data: device/browser type, approximate usage, and error diagnostics collected by analytics and error-monitoring tools to keep the Service working.

2. Your Camera & Video

Your camera video stays on your device. Pose detection (MediaPipe) runs entirely in your browser. We do not receive, upload, or store raw camera images or video.

What is sent to our servers is a set of anonymous body-landmark coordinates (numeric points such as shoulder/elbow/hip positions) used to count reps and check form.
Workout video recordings created with the "Download" feature are generated locally on your device and saved or shared only by you. They are not transmitted to us.
We may store the landmark coordinate sequences associated with your reps to operate and improve form detection.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide core features: rep counting, form feedback, progress tracking, weight recommendations, and personalized plans.
To generate AI assistance and workout plans tailored to your profile, equipment, goals, and stated health considerations.
To maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
To communicate with you about your account or important Service updates.

4. AI Processing

When you use the PUMP assistant or generate a workout plan, the relevant message and a summary of your profile (e.g., skill level, equipment, goals, stated injuries) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce a response. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train its models. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information you do not want processed by an AI service.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the Service, including:

Google — sign-in/authentication.
Google Firebase / Google Cloud — database and storage of your account and workout data.
Anthropic — AI assistant and plan generation (see Section 4).
Error monitoring & analytics providers — to detect crashes and understand aggregate usage.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase / Google Cloud infrastructure and on our servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and workout data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You may access, correct, or update most of your information directly in the app. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated personal data by emailing support@streamaiworkout.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA (including rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights).

9. Health-Related Information

Information such as your body weight and any injuries or health concerns you enter is sensitive. You choose whether to provide it. We use it only to tailor your experience and plans, and we handle it consistent with this Policy. Stream AI is not a HIPAA-covered entity, and the Service is not a medical or healthcare service.

10. Cookies & Sessions

We use essential cookies and similar technologies (including browser storage) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and enable core features. Disabling them may break parts of the Service.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International Users

We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there and by our service providers in other countries. By using the Service, you consent to this processing.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
